Protecting Forests, Preserving Futures
Working together with local communities to conserve biodiversity, strengthen local stewardship, and sustain dignified rural livelihoods across Longleng and beyond.
Who We Are
LEMSACHENLOK is an amalgamation of Yaongyimchen words describing research, reasoning, work, fundraising, and society. From biodiversity peace corridors to traditional learning models, the organization combines ecological action with people-centered development.
Founded in Longleng, Nagaland, LEMSACHENLOK works across villages by bringing together elders, youth, women, and researchers to protect landscapes that remain critical for wildlife and human wellbeing alike.
“Peace is not only for people. It is also the harmonious coexistence of humans, forests, wildlife, and the larger ecosystem.”
